| Vision Lamar Elementary is educating the future of tomorrow. We will prepare students to be productive citizens of the 21st century and we will strive for academic success. To accomplish this we will pledge to be: positive, enthusiastic, and excited about learning and improving academic success. We will set goals and objectives that will allow us to reach our fullest potential. We will nurture a home-school partnership so that teachers, students, parents, and our community will work together toward common goals. |

| Mission As we continue our journey into the new millennium, Lamar staff, parents and administrators will motivate students to achieve their goals. Lamar students will be provided with a productive, safe and orderly learning environment. The learning environment will be sensitive to societal and educational changes. As a result, students will lead productive lives that mutually benefit individuals and the community. We will strive for continuous growth and improvement as society changes. The students will receive high quality instruction and guidance aimed at allowing them to become responsible members of society. Students actions and behavior will reflect self-confidence and respect for themselves. |
