Introduction:  Howdy y'all.  Come along with Big Tex on a  Texas Trail ride through the beautiful Lone Star State to learn the Texas symbols. Look for beautiful bluebonnets and armadillos along the way. "Giddee-Up and let's go!" 
 
 

Tasks: Use your computer to travel through the Texas Trails to learn about the symbols that make our state special. "Round 'em up, head 'em out!"

Process:  Click on the Texas flag below to start your trail ride.  You may require assistance from a parent or teacher to read the fun Texas facts at this site.
 Click on the "Senate Jr." file.  Click on the hand.  Scroll down and look at the pictures of Texas symbols.  After you have read the Texas facts click on "Activity" to play the Texas symbols Matching Game. 
     For more Texas fun at this site click on the "For Kids" file to learn more about the state symbols that make Texas so special.  Don't forget to listen to the "Real Audio" to hear the song "Texas Our Texas".





Evaluation:  Have an adult check your computer monitor when you have completed your Matching Game and Texas Trivia activities.
 
 

Conclusion: Yeeha!  You have successfully completed the trail ride through your Web Quest.  You can now name and identify the Texas Symbols.  Don't forget to give your horse a pat on the back and a drink of water.
