Consolidated Independent School District is committed to excellence in
education for all students. Recognizing that this commitment demands
fostering and developing the abilities of advanced students, HCISD
accepts the responsibility of developing an exemplary instructional
program for these special students. As Harlingen CISD gifted/talented students move into the twenty-first century, they must take with them more complex tools and advanced skills. As educators of the gifted students, we must strengthen our existing instructional program to empower our students to compete successfully in the next century. We must first fortify learning and build a strong educational foundation. Some proven methods of strengthening the instructional program are teacher training, teacher collaboration, and an enriched curriculum. Thus, we will establish guidelines to ascertain that all the above concepts will be properly implemented. |
