Taking Attendance and Morning Bulletin
Teachers may take attendance for students in either their homerooms or scheduled courses.
Procedure:
1. From the My Home page, click the Att link under the Actions column for the appropriate course or homeroom.
The class list will display.
2. Click one of the following checkboxes:
A:
Student was absent.T:
Student was tardy. (The school may not be configured for this option.)P:
Student was previously marked absent, and saved, but was actually present.Note:
Do NOT mark students present. The "P" column is only used to make corrections.3. If your school has enabled the absence code drop-down box, leave the A and T boxes unchecked, and select
a specific absence code for the student.
4. Enter Arrival or Dismissal Times, as necessary.
5. Click Save.
Options:
• All P: If all students in the class are present, click this link from the Home Page. This will prevent the teacher’s name from appearing on a Missing Submissions report that can be generated by the front office.
• Pic: Click this link from the Home Page to open a class list with student photos for attendance entry. Your district may or may not choose to store student photos. This can also be used as a seating chart.
• Check All Abs or Check All Tar: Use these buttons to mark the entire class absent or tardy (rarely used).
• Click a student’s name to display the Student Summary page.
• Click the Attendance Date drop-down at the top of the screen to access a prior date for viewing. Some schools may also permit teachers to update prior days.
• Click the Morning Bulletin option on the left menu to display a list of absent students for your class/homeroom or entire building.

Morning Bulletin
Procedure:
1. Click the
Morning Bulletin option on the left menu.2. To switch the view from Only My Students to All Students, click the drop-down box next to Show:, and
then click the Refresh Bulletin button.
3. Click the Attendance Date drop-down to view the students absent on a prior date. Access to prior dates
may be limited by your system administrator.
